Refund Policy

All sales are final. Cancel anytime to stop future charges.

Effective 17 April 2026 · Version 1.2

This Refund Policy applies to all paid purchases from Mind Duel — subscriptions (Scholar, Master) and one-time token packs.

1. No refunds

All sales are final. Mind Duel does not issue refunds for subscription payments, renewals, or token pack purchases, whether used or unused. By completing checkout you confirm you have read this policy and accept it.

This policy exists because our costs (AI inference, payment processing, hosting) are incurred the moment you use the Service, and because tokens are consumable digital goods delivered instantly.

2. Cancel anytime to stop future charges

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing Portal (accessible from the Pricing page or Settings).
  • Cancellation stops future auto-renewals. Your paid access continues through the end of the current billing period, then the subscription ends.
  • We send an email reminder before your subscription renews so you can cancel in time if you no longer want it.
  • There are no pro-rated refunds for partial periods or unused time.

3. Token packs are non-refundable

Token packs are digital goods delivered and redeemable immediately on purchase. They cannot be returned, exchanged, transferred between accounts, or refunded under any circumstances once purchased.

Unused tokens remain on your account until spent. Tokens have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are forfeited if your account is terminated for violation of the Terms.

4. EU / UK statutory consumer rights

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (and equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations), consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. By completing checkout you expressly request immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost as soon as digital content (subscription access, tokens) has been delivered — which is immediately after payment.

This is the standard “immediate-delivery digital content” exception under Article 16(m) of the Directive. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

5. Exceptions we will honor

Even though sales are final, we will issue a refund or credit in these specific cases:

  • Duplicate / erroneous charges caused by a payment-system error.
  • Unauthorized charges on a card that was not used by the rightful account holder (subject to our fraud investigation and any documentation your bank requires).
  • Extended outage — if the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault (not upstream provider incidents or scheduled maintenance), we will credit the lost days to your next billing period on request.
  • Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires a refund and the statutory right has not been validly waived.

6. Disputes & chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, contact support@mindduel.app before filing a chargeback with your bank. We respond within 3 business days and will resolve any genuine error promptly.

Chargebacks filed without first contacting us — or filed in bad faith after the Service has been used — may result in immediate account suspension, loss of all purchased tokens and virtual items, and forfeiture of access on all future accounts registered to the same person.
